Current Leadership Team Application

Members are chosen based on criteria which provide balance on the team. The team seeks to represent diversity such as geography, ministerial focus, personality, gender, and giftedness.
Team members serve a two-year term, with an option for a third year for chairs of teams. The term begins after the annual retreat in February. Team members are provided with travel stipends for the annual retreat and General Assembly.
Expectations of all team members:
- Attendance at the annual leadership team meeting, which is held prior to the General Assembly (Monday-Wednesday)
- Attendance a Current retreat (ChurchWorks) in February
- Participation in email discussions and conference calls related to Current
- Willingness to work hard, accept specific responsibilities and see those responsibilities through
- Attendance at the CBF General Assembly
The Current Leadership Team includes three sub-teams: retreat, missions and General Assembly. Please indicate on your application on which team you would like to serve.
Retreat team - Responsible for planning and leading the annual retreat. This may involve working with alongside CBF congregational formation staff to plan a joint event. Individuals with experience leading worship are needed.
Missions team - Responsible for planning and facilitating the annual Current missions event held in September. Also, identify ways to encourage and support young Baptists serving in the missions field.
General Assembly team - Responsible for planning and leading learning (workshop) and fellowship opportunities for Current at General Assembly. Also, coordinate the set up and maintaining of a Current booth in the Resource Fair.
