Types of Partnerships
Project Partner — Partnerships that are less than one year in duration; $5,000 or less; Scope of Focus within one initiative, probably only one part of the initiative. Download application.
Initiative Partner — Partnerships that are 2-3 years in duration; up to $20,000; Scope of Focus could involve more than one initiative, could involve multiple projects, creates a new level of shared mission that creates a more integrative relationship between partners. Download application.
Strategic Partner — Partnerships that are 3 years or more in duration; could be open ended in duration; Scope of Focus involves multiple initiatives and likely multiple projects; it creates a sustained difference in the lives of the partners; it has the potential of creating substantive and long-term partnership in a significantly integrated way; it is considered strategic to each partner; anything that qualifies the partnership as “significant.” Download application.

Initial Partnership Application
Form used by a potential partner to make an initial request for a partnership. Completed form is returned to the office of the Coordinator of Administration to begin the process. Page 1 is the initial partnership application. Page 2 is the instruction sheet and page 3 is a checklist for items needed to complete the initial application process.

Project Partnership Application
This type of partnership is one that is less than one year in duration, $5,000 or less; The scope of focus is within one initiative, probably only one part of the initiative. Page 1 of the form is used when requesting a one-time project partnership. Page 2 of the document is an instruction sheet with additional information about completing the application process. Page 3 is a checklist to assist the applicant in making sure all of the required documents are submitted.
Strategic Partnership
A Strategic Partnership is one that is three years or more in duration or it could be open ended. The scope of focus involves multiple initiatives and/or multiple projects; it creates a sustained difference in the lives of the partners and has the potential of creating a substantive and long-term partnership. It is considered strategic to each partner and is usually considered ‘significant.’ Page 1 of the form is the partnership application. Page 2 is the instructions on how to request a strategic partnership. Page 3 is a checklist showing items that should be sent to complete the process.” These partnerships must have approval by the Coordinating Council. The CBF Coordinating Council meets three times each year—October, February and June.
Initiative Partnership
An initiative partnership is one that is two to three years in duration and up to $20,000. The scope of focus could involve more than one initiative, could involve multiple projects and creates a new level of shared mission that creates a more integrative relationship between partners. These partnerships are reported to the Initiative Teams of the Coordinating Council.
Partnership Annual Review
Form used to evaluate the effectiveness of the partnership and to ensure that the guidelines are being met.

Form submitted to CBF to request volunteers to be utilized in connection with current approved partnership.

Developing effective Christian leaders by identifying and responding to the critical needs of congregations through congregational leadership development, theological education and collegiate ministry.
Global Missions
Engaging in holistic missions and ministry in a world without borders by identifying and responding to the critical needs of congregations through partnership missions with local churches, most neglected peoples and global church planting.
