English Education Coordinator, unevangelized people groups, SE Asia — Educational professional to coordinate English Teaching, (not only to teach English) to facilitate volunteers, Affiliates, Global Service Corps and workers from other organizational missions groups.  Build relationships with principals, teachers and other education specialists at all school levels.

 

Inner-City Coordinator for work with Internationals, Greater Paris, France -- This individual/s will live and work in one of the designated, poorer immigrant neighborhoods that surround Paris.  They will develop ways to share the love of God through:  social ministries, life-style evangelism, relationship-building and direct sharing ot the salvation found in Jesus.  They will partner with local believers and work with short-term CBF personnel and volunteers, encouraging and training others to reach out to immigrants in the greater Paris area.  A seminary or Bible degree is required and experience in social work or a related field would be helpful.

 

International Coordinator/Agriculturalist, unevangelized people group, Middle East —The primary work will be to use one’s professional skills to help in the development of a Middle Eastern country.  Additionally, this person would be involved in helping nationals hear and respond to the Gospel, and facilitate discipling efforts among nationals with the ultimate goal of establishing a community of believers.  Qualified specialists will work with agricultural development in rural, underdeveloped areas.

 

Partnership Advocate (PA), Qinghai Province, China — The PA is responsible for developing appropriate ways of ministering to the most neglected.  This will involve working with the local Christian Council and churches to develop indigenous ministry among people most neglected in terms of the Gospel and social status.  The PA must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to network, communicate clearly, research and organize.  A bachelor’s degree is required and an advanced degree and/or seminary education is preferred.

 

Project Coordinator, SE Asia — A couple or single person would be responsible for organizing, promoting and managing existing projects primarily located in a province in SE Asia.  The person or persons filling this role would also develop new projects to improve the lives of the people there.  The vision would be holistic—meeting physical needs, while looking for opportunities to meet spiritual needs as well.

 

Strategic Catalyst, unevangelized people group, SE Asia — A couple or single person to serve as an advocate on behalf of this people group and all the unevangelized people groups of Austronesia, seeking to bring more of God’s resources to bear upon the needs of these unevangelized people.

 

Strategy Coordinator (SC), unevangelized people group, Central Asia  — The couple or individual serving in this role will have the task of helping an unevangelized people group in Central Asia hear the Gospel.  The SC would facilitate development and distribution of scriptures and media materials in the people’s first language.  The SC would work to increase the Christian presence in the homeland and work toward the eventual birth of a church-planting movement among the people, while also considering other types of needs beyond spiritual ones.

 

Strategy Coordinator (SC) – Middle East — The couple or individual serving in this role will have the task of building and maintaining partnerships with other Middle Eastern partners, including the continuation of project agreements.  The SC would also investigate and implement strategies that engage the emerging Christian witness from areas beyond North America.  This position requires one to examine the “big picture,” asking “what is needed to bring more the church’s resources to bear upon the spiritual and physical needs of the people group in the Middle East and North Africa?”

 

Strategy Coordinator, unevangelized people group, SE Asia — A couple or single person is needed to work among a World A people group.  (“World A” people groups typically have few, if any, Christians and little or no access to the Gospel.).  The SC will be assigned to a people group rather than a country and will work to share the gospel in the context of meeting the needs of the whole person.

 

Urban Ministry, Mexico City, Mexico A couple to live out and advocate holistic ministry among the most neglected of Mexico City and the 44 regional Baptist conventions of Mexico.  Be a bridge builder between the Mexico Baptist Convention and the ecumenical community in holistic ministry.

China Advocate, United States -- The China Advocate would be responsible for developing a network among the CBF constituency in the U.S. to introduce our Chinese ministry partners, recruit volunteers for short or long term service opportunities and share China project news.  Specifically, the Advocate is expected to attend China Team meetings at least twice a year and coordinate China promotion at the annual CBF General Assembly.  The Advocate will be the continuous presence and voice of the China Team in the U.S. to assist in the work of telling our story and inviting individuals and churches to partner with CBF in China


Hainan English Teacher, China -- Year long, English teachers are needed to teach in university or college settings in Hainan Province.  A Bachelors’ degree is required and teaching experience preferred.  The teacher would not only develop their own personal life within the university community as an English teacher, but will assist the CBF China team to build relationships of trust in Hainan.  
 
Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist, China --
The therapist would provide daily therapy, assessment and evaluation for children with disabilities, primarily with cerebral palsy, and training to the local Chinese staff who also work with the children.  The ideal candidate will have professional qualifications, have the ability and sensitivity to work with handicapped children and the spiritual and emotional maturity necessary to give and give to those most needy. 
  
Banjara Gypsy Urban/Student Ministry, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh --
A person is needed to work in Hi-Tech City, Hyderabad, in any business, so they can live in India with a business visa.  Develop incarnational ministry among the middle class, professionals and students in the Banjara Gypsy people group for the purpose of establishing an urban Banjara Church. Couple or Single 
 
Minister to International Students through Churches, North Africa --
This person will minister to Christian students in the University system and equip these students for ministry in their context.  The ideal candidate will have a calling to cross-cultural ministry, be flexible, have a willingness to travel, ecumenical spirit, be a team player, be willing to learn the language and have strong interpersonal skills. 
  
East Carroll Parish Minister, Louisiana -- An affiliate or affiliate couple is needed for placement in the Lake Providence area of East Carroll Parish in northeast Louisiana.  The Affiliate/s would become a resident member of the community and as minister be responsible for working with CBF Together for Hope Initiative Team to develop and implement programs for community and economic development, literacy, health care for the working poor, race relations and justice, youth and other programs of interest/concern.  The Affiliate/s should be self-supporting through vocation or other means.  The ideal candidate/s will have strong interpersonal and networkinig skills, knowledge of systems and systems management.  Community and economic development experience would be helpful.  Being an actively participating member of the community and building relationships will be key in moving Together for Hope more strongly in the community and toward developing effective initiatives in the efforts to address poverty.


Advocate for the Invisible Poor, Urban Areas USA -- This position will participate in a mobile ministry to the dispossessed and often invisible international community of undocumented poor. Primary responsibilities include assessing the needs of the undocumented poor in the Washington/Baltimore corridor and developing strategies to work with private, government, and local church resources to assist with this group. Additional responsibilities include working with CBF churches in the region and partnering with churches outside of the immediate area. Desire to work with internationals and multicultural communities are a must. Bilingual skills especially in Spanish are preferred.


Together for Hope Coordinator, Allendale, South Carolina --  Ministering alongside the people of Allendale County with holistic ministry. The ideal person will have the ability to effectively relate to the people of Allendale as well as communicate the story of Allendale to churches and individuals.

Agriculturist Middle East
There is a need for a citrus specialist to work with a soil testing project in the Middle East. Crops grown include orange, lemon, grapefruit, kiwi, and stone fruits. This person would assist a career agriculturist in taking soil and leaf samples for analyses and then making fertilizer recommendations to farmers based upon test reports. Other needs for an agriculturist include greenhouse production, horticulture, marketing, packaging and storage.

Advocate for Women and Children, SE Asia The couple or single female will focus on developing and implementing ministries relevant to reaching and empowering women and children and transforming families. This position carries a long-term commitment to women and children’s rights, justice issues and incarnational ministry among Asian people.

Communications Coordinator Marion, Alabama

This person would be responsible for coordinating the following areas:  development of a newsletter, updating and maintaining the website and initiating a plan for cultivating the base of volunteers that have worked with Sowing Seeds of Hope.  This person will also be expected to do some grant writing.  The priority for this position is to help the ministry gain exposure in the community.  The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills—verbal and written; have good computer/website skills and be creative.

Conversational English Teacher Kosice, Slovakia

The right candidate will work with the English teacher at an all-Roma private eight-year school leading conversational English classes for older students and offering an after school English club for interested younger students.  They will have opportunity to create their own extra-curricular club fitting with their own abilities and interests (music or sport, for example).  During the summer, there will be opportunities to attend English Language church camps.  The ideal candidate will be a native English speaker, ESL training would be helpful, but not required and prior ministry or work experience with children (impoverished or inner city especially) is necessary.  Gifts of teaching, patience, flexibility and the ability to cope with considerable poverty are essential.  Must be a self-starter and able to function without constant supervision.

Credit Counselor Marion, Alabama

This person would work for Sowing Seeds of Hope with PerryCounty residents on an individual and group basis to help them understand the importance of maintaining good credit and how to maintain good finances.  This person will also be required to coordinate meetings/seminars with local banks and financial institutions for individual and/or group participants.  A secondary degree and experience in finance is required.  Good communications skills—written and verbal as well as the ability to teach others in a positive way are important.

English Coordinator SE Asia
the English coordinator needs to have a love and a gifting in teaching. This person will teach English to a variety of age groups. Training in ESL or TEFL would be helpful. As well as teaching in a variety of schools/colleges several hours a week, this person will be responsible for making arrangements for volunteer teams to teach English. The English coordinator will be responsible for the administration of a scholarship project for high school students. This includes overseeing the financial aspects of the project and developing relationships with the students and their families through private tutoring of the students in English.

English Teacher China

An English teacher is needed to provide professional Language Training in Secondary/Tertiary Schools, with business professionals and among service industry personnel.  This person will be a staff member of the Lighthouse English Training Services (L.E.T.S.).  The ideal candidate will be trained in teaching English as a Second Language and/or hold a bachelor’s degree in an English Language major.  Good communication skills are a necessity.  It is important to the person to be in good condition and be able to climb stairs.

Guangxi English Teacher China

Year-long English teachers are needed to teach in university or college settings.  Teachers need to be in good health, aware and adaptable to the conditions of living cross-culturally, be able to learn Chinese language and understand the culture.  The ideal candidate(s) will hold a Bachelors degree.  Training and experience in language teaching are desirable but not required for candidates who are native speakers of the language they will teach.  The right personality is just as important as professional training—patience, tolerance, flexibility, optimism, the ability to get along with others and a desire to serve are a must in this position.

Home School Teacher Thailand

The teacher would be responsible for providing home-school instruction for two elementary age children.  There would also be opportunities to be involved in other ministries—teaching English, research, office administration and social ministries.  The ideal candidate must have a degree in elementary education (or in the process of completion); love children and have a desire to help them grow and mature academically as well as in their faith.  The location is in Southern Thailand, a modern area that boasts a beautiful tropical climate.  It is rich and diverse in culture and sensitivity to cultural differences is important.

International Students Ministry Coordinator San Francisco , California

The Ministry Coordinator would seek to reach the many internationals in an academic setting attend San Francisco State University, including ministries to international students, scholars, visiting professors and their families.  The unit will seek out and create opportunities to minister to and build relationships through creative activities that come about through the unit’s gifts and areas of interest.  They will seek to share Christ’s love and hope with them.  The coordinator would work alongside various organizations and churches to help them continue or start ministry among IAS/students.  The ideal candidate will have experience working with student—international student experience would be helpful.  They will be flexible, a self-starter, have good interpersonal skills, outgoing personality and the ability to build relationships easily.

Kingdom Enterprise Development Coordinator Helena , Arkansas

This person would be responsible for developing new business startup opportunities with local Christian entrepreneurs and faith-based organizations in Phillips and LeeCounties.  This would include training workers, identifying business opportunities, determining feasibility of the business, providing entrepreneur training and mentoring.  The coordinator would be directly involved in the startup phase of “Kingdom Businesses” in the Delta and would interact with other Kingdom Business activities in other Together for Hope counties as a communications focal point person.  The ideal candidate will have business development experience, understand the elements of entrepreneurship and marketing and know business contacts.  The candidate must be strong in spirit and health.

Literacy Coordinator Marion Marion, Alabama

This person would be responsible for working and overseeing the work of literacy in local schools, libraries and other agencies.  The priorities are setting up an ongoing coordinated program and overseeing the implementation of ongoing and special event programs designed to connect children and adults with reading.  This person would also coordinate and supervise the work of volunteer teams.  The ideal candidate will have good people and organizational skills and have experience in literacy work.

Office Manager SE Asia
The office manager will be responsible for the running and upkeep of the resource center in the area. The office manager will be primarily responsible for monthly update of ministries, keeping of financial records, and scheduling of monthly events. This person will also assist in hosting and teaching of volunteer teams. The office manager will also perform various ministerial duties including teaching ESL/EFL. This person should be flexible and a self-starter. The office manager will need to have a working knowledge of computers, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Office Manager/Administrative Assistant Hong Kong

The office manager/administrative assistant will manage the head office for Asia Baptist Theological Seminary—the consortium of Eight Asian Baptist Graduate Seminaries and assist the Dean in administrative duties.  The ideal candidate should have strong management, computer and organizational skills; be able to work independently and with people from different cultural backgrounds.

On-line Outreach Developer Location to be determined in the Eastern Time Zone of the U.S.

The Outreach Developer will be responsible for creating an online website to engage visitors in various forms of conversation which can enable CBF personnel and indigenous workers with the opportunity to share the message of Jesus Christ in a variety of contexts, including those countries considered “closed”.  This person will need a high level of computer skills as well as an understanding of various cultures and religions.  They may also be expected to partner with and work alongside local churches with international congregations.

Outreach Program Developer China

An individual or couple is needed to join the staff of a local ChristianEducationCenter and teach conversational English as well as develop and implement additional outreach programs.  The Center seeks to develop programs to reach out to local university students and young professionals.  The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree, be comfortable leading small groups and teaching in a classroom setting, be a self-starter with strong people skills and have the ability to work independently and show perseverance in building relationships.  ESL certification is required, but can be obtained during the term of service.

Phillips County Sports and LeadershipAcademy Director Helena , Arkansas

The Academy Director will develop and manage county-wide programs to teach and train young athletes to be better leaders and athletes.  The program will be applied to the sports of baseball, basketball, football, tennis and soccer.  The director will develop spiritual as well as physical programs to help develop each person to their fullest potential.  The program will work with the school systems to help develop their feeder systems of athletes to the higher levels.  Candidate must have athlete training, a sports management degree is preferred, but coaching experience will be considered for the right candidate.  Must be a good motivator and coach and comfortable in a mixed-race environment.  Must be strong in spirit and health

Refugee/Migrant Program Assistant North Africa

This couple or single will work alongside field personnel in a ministry of support (physically and spiritually) with sub-Saharan refugees and migrants.  This will involve interviewing, listening, praying, looking for solutions, and taking action.  Action may take the form of humanitarian assistance (food, shelter, lodging, medical care), educational assistance (teaching ESL/French, working with students, young people, and children), or spiritual encouragement (prayer, bible study, attending and supporting refugee/migrant churches).  Record keeping and data entry are also a big part of the job.  Flexibility, adaptability, willingness to work with different faith backgrounds (particularly Islam) and belief that migration is a human right are all a must.  Multi-cultural experience and French language functionality are desirable.

Stories on Wheels Ministry Coordinator Helena , Arkansas

The coordinator will be responsible for daily children’s programs based out of HelenaCommunity Center.  Programs will include library, after school tutoring, language learning, literacy and/or sports and leadership.  The assignment will require someone who is trained or good with youth ages six to eighteen.  The ideal candidate will be a good planner, organizer and mobilizes for the recruitment of local volunteers and have good control/command of leadership and motivation skills.  Experience in library management is a plus, but not required.  Computer skills are necessary to handle library functions and other ministry reporting activities.  Must be comfortable around sports programs and physical activities as this assignment is located in a community center.

Urban Ministry Worker Detroit, Michigan

Based on the skills, gifts and calling of the person, partners in ministry in the inner-city community of central Detroit are seeking someone who wants to explore their calling in urban ministry.  They must have the skills, education and talent to work in the inner city.  There are opportunities to work with children and youth in several after school programs, summer camps and work with families and adults in social service programs.  In addition, there are multiple opportunities to assist in training and equipping church members through partnerships.

Videographer/Editor North Africa

The ideal candidate must have a love for photography and editing video, be a self-starter, sensitive to cultural differences and have a strong spiritual life.  This assignment is an opportunity to work in an exotic, yet challenging environment to provide short promotional films to promote the welfare of children and the handicapped.  There is also the opportunity to learn language and to make a difference with your talent and love for the recorded visual world.  Skill/experience in photography and video; as well as the use of Final Cut Pro 4 editing is required.
