ATLANTA – Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Executive Coordinator Daniel Vestal underwent successful surgery Feb. 2 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta following a recent diagnosis of prostate cancer. The procedure revealed that the cancer had not spread, and Vestal is expected to make a full recovery.

He will be on medical leave from the Fellowship through Feb. 28.

“Daniel’s surgery went extremely well, and his prognosis is very good,” said Connie McNeill, CBF’s coordinator of administration. “Earlene (Vestal) said the surgery couldn’t have gone smoother. He is expected to be at Saint Joseph’s for a few days. We offer our prayers on Daniel’s behalf and for Earlene as she cares for him during his recovery.”

CBF is a fellowship of Baptist Christians and churches who share a passion for the Great Commission and a commitment to Baptist principles of faith and practice. The Fellowship’s mission is to serve Christians and churches as they discover and fulfill their God-given mission.
