Persian World Outreach
Pray for F., an Iranian Christian living in the U.S., who encouraged her daughter in Iran to “pray in the name of Jesus.” His amazing answers to her prayers led this woman to saving faith!
Pray for J. and B., two American men in Virginia who have been called to minister among Afghans there.
Pray for J., an American Christian who visits an Afghan family every Wednesday night and shares dinner and Bible stories with them.
Pray for F., a young Iranian Christian lawyer who is ministering among Iranian youth and other young Iranian women in the Washington, D.C., area.
Pray for N., a 13-year-old Iranian Christian who faithfully ministers at the AICF service by running the PowerPoint presentations.
Pray for S., an 18-year-old Iranian Christian who designs Web sites and PowerPoint presentations for worship and reaches out to other Iranian youth worldwide through the Internet.
Pray for an American man and his Tajik wife who minister together overseas. They will be in the U.S. and share at AICF-VA on July 6.
Butch & Nell Green, work with internationals, South Carolina
Thank God for all the ministries to internationals being done in many CBF churches. Thank God for the enthusiasm of ministers and lay persons for networking together in order to minister more effectively to internationals in the U.S.
Ask God to grant insight and wisdom as we seek online solutions to the networking needs of CBF churches as they reach out to internationals.
Ask God to guide physicians as they continue to treat Brandon for a troubling heart condition. Thank Him for Brandon’s full recovery from shoulder surgery. Thank God for provision of a summer job for Brandon, now interning for CBF of South Carolina.
Ask God to grant wisdom, knowledge, creativity, and insight as the Internationals Cluster comes together in July to discuss current and future ministry needs.
Thank God for opportunities for two churches to begin resettling refugees after a season of prayer, reflection, and preparation.
Keith Holmes & Mary van Rheenen, work with Romany, Netherlands
Praise God that the book of Acts has been recorded/dubbed into the Sinti Romani language. Pray for the mixing and correction stage of this project.
Pray for Radj (rhymes with “garage”) and Anatolie, two members of the church in Vulcanesti, Moldova. They have received loans to expand their used car and shoe-selling businesses. Many others have had to leave Moldova in search of work. Pray that these two believers will work hard, make a profit, and be able to pay back these loans. Pray that their example will provide hope for other church members there.
Bill and Michelle Cayard, Partnership Coordinators, Sichuan, China
Please pray for all those affected by the earthquake in Sichuan. God is doing many good things in the midst of the tragedy. In one small village, a new meeting point for Christians was opened because the church from a neighboring town brought relief supplies to the village. Pray that those who are suffering will be healed and that the church will use this opportunity to show God's love.
Please pray for the churches affected by the earthquake. Many church buildings were completely destroyed, and members are trying to find temporary meeting places. Rebuilding and repairs will be difficult to finance for villagers who have lost their homes and possessions. Ask God to provide the resources needed to re-establish
these places of worship.
Please pray for the summer English camp teachers who will come to Sichuan July 26 through August 8. The teachers will have many chances to interact with Chinese high school students. Pray that they will find sensitive ways to share their culture and beliefs. Pray for the students' hearts to be open. Pray for stamina for the teachers as they experience unfamiliar food and teach in 90+ temperatures with no air conditioning.
Latha & Sam Bandela, unevangelized people groups, India
Pray for Bro. Paulone, our local partner, as he has several health issues.
Pray for evangelists and church planters and their families.
Pray for provision of water during the hot summer months in India.
Pray for the orphanages and their continued needs: physical, mental, health, social, financial, and above all, spiritual needs.
Pray for the sewing centers and those who are going through the program.
Lita & Rick Sample and Fran Stevenson, work with internationals, San Francisco Bay Area
Please pray for Missy Ward, our Student.Go summer worker. She is ministering among Afghan women and children and coordinating activities for a group of high school and college-aged girls. Pray for Missy as she builds relationships with Afghan immigrants, that the women, girls, and children will see the light of Christ through her. Pray also that Afghan families will continually open themselves to Jesus. Pray for Fran and Missy as they work together in the Afghan ministry this summer.
Please pray for Muslim women who, even in America, have limits and constraints placed on them by male family members. We believe that many of the women would like to establish friendships with Americans, but sometimes their husbands or fathers restrict those connections. Pray that the women can overcome multiple barriers of
language, gender bias, and religion so that they can coherently understand the gospel message.
Please pray for Dr. Fariborz Ansari, developer and visionary of FarsiPraise. A strategic partner of CBF, FarsiPraise is based in San Jose, California, and is the premier resource for Christian music in Farsi, the language of Iran and Afghanistan. Persian Christians in Asia, Europe, and North America go to the Web site
www.farsipraise.com to find worship resources which help them grow in their faith. Pray for Fariborz as he continually expands the resources, and pray for Persian Christians that they will experience growth through these resources.
Kim & Marc Wyatt, work with internationals, Canada
Thank you for your dedicated prayers for us and those we serve. We are experiencing many open doors, and others desire to partner with us. We are convinced it is directly related to God answering your prayers. Keep it up!
Pray for Student.Go summer workers, Judy and Jennifer, as they work together as interns with Eastview Baptist Church in Ottawa this summer. Their work takes them into the Lower Town and Vanier neighborhoods where they serve in the local food banks, prayer walk, do backyard Bible clubs, and practice simple acts of kindness among the marginalized and neglected of Canada’s capital city.
Pray for the Ambassador of Zimbabwe, Madam Florence Zano Chideya. The country is in great turmoil. There are 124 embassies and high commissions in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada.
Pray for the continued development of the refugee welcome network, made up of French and English churches, government, and NGO’s committed to the wellbeing of refugees moving into the capital region. Pray specifically for Ingrid, Lisee, Franky, and Bastien who are leading the effort.
Pray for the Chin Baptist Church of Ottawa. Leader Sangchin is working with the Ottawa Baptist Association to have his church included in the association and Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec. Canadian Baptists and CBF are working together to help villages in northern Burma which are experiencing their worst famine in 50
years. CBF has donated $5000 to this relief effort, which is in addition to its support for cyclone victims in the south.
Pray for Victor, a Nigerian refugee. Victor is moving slowly through the refugee claimant process. He is also trying to send money back to his family; his sister is in poor health, and the family cannot pay doctors.
Please pray for Kim’s grandfather, Donald New, and family. They learned recently that Mr. New has a malignant cancer. He has decided not to fight it, content that his life has been full and blessed. He is ready to see his son, grandson, and brother already in heaven.
Joel & Tiffne Whitley, work with internationals, Spain
Thank you so much for praying for our ministry in southern Spain. God is really answering your prayers, and we are having many opportunities to reach out.
Please continue to pray for God to lead us to those with whom He wants us to share.
Pray that God will grow His church in southern Spain.
Pray for our preparation and the team of workers who will be helping with the art camp for the refugee children and the VBS for the Nigerian church this August.
Pray for us as we travel to team meetings this summer. Pray that we will have good meetings and that travel will go smoothly.
Thank you for praying for our family. Our kids seem to be adjusting well. The boys are growing and are as wild as three-year-old boys can be. Megan has had a great kindergarten year, her Spanish is good, she learned to read in English at home, and she will have a dance recital with a ballet dance in a tutu and a flamenco dance as
well!
Please begin to pray now for Megan’s new teacher in the upcoming year. Her teacher this year was wonderful and that helped with her adjustment so much.
Taisha Rose, urban work, New York City
Please pray for our upcoming camps: one at Greater Restoration Baptist Church and the other at Albany Housing Projects.
Pray for the campers as well as the many groups who are coming from all over the country to serve with us this summer.
Pray also that we have beautiful weather! Both camps are held outside and if the weather does not "cooperate" with us, we may have to cancel camp for the day at the Albany site.
Please pray for me as my term as a CBF field personnel ends in August after summer camp. I am open to whatever God has in store for me. These two years have been a blessing in so many ways, and I am extremly thankful for the opportunity.
