Collegiate Congregational Internships

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s Collegiate Congregational Internship program provides summer opportunities for up to 100 college students to serve through Fellowship partner churches. These 10-week, full-time internships help students exploring a call to congregational ministry.

Students should have completed one year of college and be at least 18 years old by June 1, 2012. Recent college graduates may apply.

Through a Lilly Endowment grant, CBF provides $600 towards funding for the intern's stipend, four days of orientation and education, ongoing coaching and debriefing at the end of the experience. The host church provides the student with an overview of the church’s ministry, housing and living expenses, at least a $600 stipend and church-related travel and ministry expenses.

Student interns are required to attend an orientation held May 20-23, 2012 at Wingate University in Wingate, N.C. or May 24-27, 2012 at University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas.  Student interns are also required to attend an end-of-summer debriefing retreat, SELAHvie, August 6-9, 2012 at Shocco Springs Baptist Conference Center in Talladega, Ala.

If you have questions about the internship, contact Wanda Kidd.
