August 3 - 6, 2014
Camp Pinnacle, Clayton, Ga.
Selah Vie is an end of summer retreat for college and graduate students, and other young adults. Join the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship to pause and reflect on as you move away from summer experiences and into the fall semester of school or work. We will join together in worship, workshops, group reflection and parties to close out the summer.
This year's speaker is Jason Edwards.
Jason is the Senior Pastor of Second Baptist Church in Liberty, Mo. He is a graduate of East Texas Baptist University (BA, Religion and English), Baylor University (M.Div) and Fuller Seminary (D.Min). A native of Texas, he is husband to Christy and father to Jackson, Luke, and a daughter due in January 2014. Jason and Christy served as GSC field personnel in France and then Thailand from 2005 - 2007.
Music at Selah Vie will be led by Eric Mathis.
Eric teaches at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he is the Director of anima: the Forum for Worship and the Arts. He also serves as music associate for Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. An ordained minister, Eric holds degrees in music and theology from Wheaton College, Baylor University, George W. Truett Theological Seminary, and Fuller Theological Seminary. He is married to Brittany, a CPA, and enjoys reading, writing, and running. More importantly, Eric enjoys worshiping. To that end, he hopes to help other worshipers deeply experience the privilege of offering worship to God in Christ through the Spirit so the Kingdom of God may flourish in the world.
Registration: $150 per individual unless you are a CBF MK, or served through Student.Go or the Collegiate Congregational Internship program this summer. Registration includes meals from dinner on Monday through lunch on Wednesday, as well as housing.
